Finish a small, readable route before chasing speed or upgrades.
Controls at a glance
Your five-step first shift
Choose one vivid color
Do not begin by grabbing every book you see. Pick one color that stands out and use it as your first visual filter.
Why it works: A narrow search keeps you oriented and reduces unrelated trips.
Pick up one book
Press E to interact or pick up. On mobile, use the on-screen interact button. If you need to abandon the attempt, F drops the book.
Why it works: Learning the basic interaction before routing removes control friction.
Read before you walk
Read the title, then scan the labeled category or section codes. Codes such as 1A, 1B, and 1C help narrow the destination.
Why it works: The book title and shelf label are your routing system.
Place with matching titles
Carry the book to its matching labeled section and place it by clicking. Keep identical titles together instead of scattering them.
Why it works: Consistent grouping makes the next match easier to recognize.
Repeat locally—or ask for a hint
Clear nearby books in the same color before changing focus. If a destination is unclear, use a hint rather than wandering.
Why it works: Focused repetition builds label knowledge while hints end stalled searches.
Use a hint when the title-to-section match is unclear. A hint is part of the route, not something to save forever.
